Keeping your seed phrase secure
When creating a cold wallet (e.g. Trust Wallet, MetaMask) or a hardware-based wallet (e.g. Ledger, Trezor), you will receive a seed phrase (or mnemonic seed). This phrase is a series of words that you must store securely and keep a secret at all times.
Some tips :
Ideally, you should avoid storing your phrase on a computer or in the Cloud, not even as an image. The best method is to write the words down on a piece of paper.
Never reveal your seed phrase, as this must remain a secret and kept in a secure place. To prevent your seed phrase from being lost in the event that the material it is written on is destroyed, you should keep two copies in different places.
At least once, try using your seed phrase that you have written down to access your wallet. By doing so, you will ensure there are no errors.
Beware of phishing! No application or system will ever ask spontaneously you for your seed phrase. Never give this out for any reason.
If you need to find out and save your seed phrase once again, you can find it in your wallet's security settings.
