What is an ICO?

An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is a way of raising funds at the inception phase of a project. Through the creation and sale of tradable digital assets known as tokens, fund-raising activity involves the use of blockchain technology.

ICOs are used for the following purposes :

  • Accessing all types of investors, including international investors.

  • Creating a solid community of early adopters for the project.

  • Raising funds from future users of the service.

  • As a marketing tool to increase the visibility of the project.

  • Ensuring that tokens are distributed, liquid and available for market launch.

For investors, the tokens can be used to purchase developed products and/or services when the project is completed.
