Installing MetaMask

Adding the plugin to your browser

MetaMask is a free plugin that can be used on Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Edge. Designed in 2016 to interact with the Ethereum blockchain, MetaMask is used these days with many other blockchains, including BSC (the network on which Jimizz is deployed).

To securely download MetaMask, visit their website at :

Then click install to begin installing the plugin on your browser.

Creating your wallet

After opening MetaMask, click "Start". You then have the choice of restoring an existing wallet, or creating a new one. If you are using MetaMask for the first time, click, "Yes, proceed to setup".

You will then be asked to give your consent regarding the collection of anonymous data. Click "No Thanks" or "I Agree" as per your preference. This does not affect the subsequent actions.

In the next step, you will set your password. You will be asked for your password each time you use MetaMask in the future. Aim to set a strong password. Then click "Create".

After a short introductory video, your seed phrase will be sent to you. Click on the grey area with padlock to view your seed phrase.

Your seed phrase will allow you to reconfigure MetaMask on another computer or smartphone to access your wallet. It is important to keep this phrase secure at all times. Keeping your seed phrase secure.

Save the seed phrase and ensure it is not revealed on your computer. The most common practice is to write it down on a piece of paper and store it in a safe place, or to use a secure password manager.

IF YOU LOSE THIS 12-WORD SEED PHRASE -> YOU WILL LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR CRYPTOCURRENCY.

To ensure that you have kept a copy of this phrase, you will need to confirm the seed phrase in the next step. Click on the words in the correct order to reformulate your phrase, then "Confirm".

Congratulations, you can now access your new MetaMask wallet!

Connecting MetaMask to BSC

Now that you have a MetaMask wallet, you can access your wallet directly by clicking the MetaMask icon on the top-right of your browser. You will then be asked to give your password.

A window will appear, and at the top you will see the name of the blockchain to which you are connected. Ethereum is the default setting, but let's look at how you can make a configuration to connect to the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

From the main window, go to "Settings".

Then select "Networks".

Click on "Add Network".

Then enter the following information before clicking "Save" :

  • Network name: Binance Smart Chain

  • New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

  • Chain ID: 56 (or 0x38 if this doesn't work)

  • Symbol: BNB

  • Block explorer : https://bscscan.com/

Lastly, at the top of the main window of your MetaMask wallet, select the new "Binance Smart Chain" network.

Success! You have paired BSC with your MetaMask wallet.

Finding out your BSC address

Your address on the blockchain is visible on the main window of your wallet. It begins with 0x...

As the address is public and not secret, you will be able to share it.

Click on the symbol on the right of the address to copy it in full.

Jimizz is compatible with MetaMask.

The BSC address can be used as an address for receiving Jimizz purchased in the ICO.
